Rohini is one of the first few examples of an organised set up for new E-sub registrar offices, a series coming up under the Delhi government and Department of Revenue.
The office was planned with specific emphasis on visitor’s flow and various stages of work and entry. Incorporated in two half-floor plates in existing Ambedkar building in Rohini, corridors and stairs were shared making it very trick to plan out systems and identity to the office.
The division was used as an advantage while designing allowing for more public areas at ground floor, personal interaction for registration on appointment basis on upper floor (this was restricted for access using access cards), and filling and back end office on middle floor.
Since this was a prototype of new E- office, a proper cabin for IT was designed for with separate documentation area and
processing area and a large section was created with compact storage for hard copies.
Air conditioning and other systems were regionalised to make the running more economical and therefore sustainable.
