For over four decades, Creators Architects has worked at the intersection of purpose, use, and long-term responsibility. Our practice is shaped by the belief that architecture must do more than express intent - it must support how people, organisations, and communities function over time. We work with institutions, organisations, government bodies, developers, and trusts on projects that carry lasting consequence. Each engagement begins by understanding what a place must enable - operationally, culturally, and socially - before form is considered. From this clarity, architecture emerges with restraint and confidence, creating environments for learning, healing, working, and gathering that are grounded in real use and enduring value.
Creators Architects was born in 1984, when Rajiv and Mukta Gupta set out to redefine what architecture could be. Their passion lay in creating spaces that were expressive yet empathetic, ambitious yet respon- sible. From the beginning, they sought to design places that did more than impress— they needed to work, to comfort, and to elevate daily life. This pursuit became the foundation of a practice built on purpose. andcivic bodies.
In 2011, Utssav Gupta joined the practice, bringing international experience from the United
Kingdom and introducing a more structured, diagnostic way of thinking about architecture. This
marked a conscious shift - from intuition-led design toward a practice grounded in systems,
outcomes, and long-term performance.
Drawing on frameworks such as diagnostic Innovation, system mapping, and Jobs-to-Be-Done, the
studio began examining not just what spaces look like, but what they must make possible for
people, organisations, and communities. Under this direction, Creators Architects evolved into a
practice equipped to take on complex, first-of-their-kind projects - translating purpose into
architecture that delivers human, environmental, and systemic value.
We do not define success by the size of a building, but by the opportunities it creates. Each line, each surface, and each carefully-chosen moment of light is meant to help someone, somewhere, move toward a better, more purposeful way of living.
For us, the joy of design comes alive when architecture begins to serve its purpose with quiet clarity. It reveals itself in the decisions that bring comfort, efficiency, and grace together in one seamless experience. We find it in the way needs evolve into spatial stories—how movement, light, proportion, and material come together to support the life a place must hold. This joy is rooted in turning purpose into architecture that stands with dignity, creating environments that feel assured, intuitive, and deeply aligned with the people they serve.
Meaningful architecture grows from meaningful relationships. Every project begins with listening— understanding what clients truly need, value, and envision. Empathy guides our process, helping us shape solutions that reflect their purpose while building trust along the way. We respect every person, voice, and viewpoint involved, creating an inclusive environment where ideas can contribute freely. Collaboration with consultants, contractors, craftspeople, and community partners strengthens the journey, ensuring each perspective enriches the outcome. In this shared process, relationships become the foundation for spaces shaped with clarity, care, and genuine intent.
Every project brings its own challenges, but we meet them with optimism and an unwavering commitment to see things through. We believe good architecture is shaped not only by ideas, but by the perseverance to refine, resolve, and rise above obstacles with clarity and purpose. This steady determination—shared with our clients, partners, and teams—turns complexity into possibility and setbacks into new directions. For us, perseverance is not just endurance; it is the courage to keep creating, improving, and pushing forward until the vision stands with strength and confidence.

At the Indian Institute of Skiing & Mountaineering, architecture connects human skill with the raw beauty of Kashmir’s landscape. Awarded at the Asia Pacific Property Awards, the project reflects more than design excellence—it echoes the region’s renewed openness and growing sporting culture. Set within the slopes and valleys that define Kashmir, the institute supports a new era of adventure, learning, and outdoor sport. Here, the mountains shape the experience, and archi- tecture helps express the confidence and possibility of a changing Kashmir.
